first4playgrounds solar system with dwarf planets

In the recent months we have been anticipating the rare Solar Eclipse which happened on March  20th. This was a fantastic opportunity for schools to introduce astrology teaching into the curriculum and learn more about the solar system and our planets. first4playgrounds have introduced  solar system playground markings  which can be a fun way for children to familiarise themselves with planets,  learn about their sizes in relation to one another and their order and distance from the earth. Scientists controversially   changed pluto to a dwarf planet in 2006. Dwarf planets have a direct orbit with the sun but are not big enough to  have cleared  its path of other masses around its orbit . Scientists believe with exploration of the Kuiper belt,  many more dwarf planets will be found.
At present time 5  Dwarf planets are recognised in our solar system. Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris .
first4playgrounds are now offering schools the choice of adding these dwarf planets to the solar system playground markings design, giving children a greater knowledge of how are solar system works.
